Bags at Exam Time
The Austin Aggie Moms offer their members the
opportunity to order a morale booster before
exams in the form of bag with snacks and a restaurant
gift card for their student. We call these Goody
Bags and your student’s bag will contain
at least twenty snack items plus a $5 gift card
for a restaurant within walking distance of campus.
The snack items include popcorn, granola bars,
peanut butter crackers, gum, breakfast bars,
fruit, candy, microwave noodles, and a beverage
such as an instant hot chocolate. The gift card
for $5 has usually been for Freebird’s
(a College Station business whose specialty is
burritos), Starbucks or Subway.
We consistently offer a great value for making
this gesture to your student. .In fact we make
no profit on these bags and charge only the actual
cost. By comparison, parents also receive a Residence
Hall letter which is an order form for several
versions of a goody bag. Those bags, which are
shipped from New Jersey, contain just a few food
items and all of their options cost more than
our Aggie Moms’ Goody Bags. We are happy
to offer this benefit to your students at a stressful
time in their lives.
To order a Goody Bag, use the Membership
form on this website. Please submit the form to the Vice-President of Membership along with a check
to Austin Aggie Mothers Club. Note there is a separate line to order a Goody bag for the fall
semester which will be delivered in December and a line for the spring Goody Bag which will
be delivered in May. Each bag is $15. There are separate deadlines for each semester’s
orders.
It is critical that you provide us with the
correct cell phone number and email address for
your student. When the bags are delivered we
have a table at a campus student center and we
give the students advance notice of when and
where to come to pick up their Goody Bag. We
email and text the students to give them that
pick up information.
If you have any questions or if you need to
send an update with revised phone or email for
your student, please contact Goody Bag Chair
